A weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title and the author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers.
Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce
Pub. Date: June 7, 2010
"I dash into the thick grasses in the opposite direction of the Fenris. I could have killed him sooner, should have killed him in the woods. What if I just ruined our cover?" (page 62)
(*Fenrir or Fenris is a gigantic and terrible monster in the shape of a wolf, according to Encyclopedia Mythica. Apparently, this creature is from Norse mythology.)

ReplyDeleteMy teaser.
Thanks so much for checking out my teaser! This sounds like my kind of book! I love mythology and sci-fi (which is what this sounds like) - definitely going on my TBR list! Thanks for the little note about the meaning of Fenrir/Fenris too! Are you a Harry Potter fan? 'Cause I love JK Rowling a little bit more every time I learn something like this. The main werewolf in Harry Potter is named Fenrir Greyback. Brilliance. =)
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser, and I'm liking the new look! I have two teasers at The Crowded Leaf.
