1. Belly from Jenny Han's Summer series- God. I am so obsessed. I am pretty sure that I've somehow put this series on every Top Ten Tuesday list I've created thus far. It should come as no surprise that I am a huge fan of Belly and wouldn't mind hanging out with her at the beach this summer.
2. Clara from Unearthly by Cynthia Hand- I loved the character of Clara. Usually angel books leave me disappointed, but this was one of the best angel books I've read to date. Who wouldn't want to be related to someone who is part angel?
3. Rose from The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead- Yes, I know. I'm obsessed with this series as well, but Rose is seriously a kick-butt heroine! I would love to be her sister.
4. Anna from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- I loved Anna; for me, she was the perfect main character. I wouldn't mine visiting her in Paris this spring.
5. Katniss from The Hunger Games series- Do I even need to explain?
6. Jo from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott- As a young adult, I adored the character of Jo and I still wouldn't mind being a part of this incredible family.
7. Atticus from To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee- For me, Atticus is one of the most interesting and courageous characters ever written.
8. Elizabeth Woodville from The White Queen by Philippa Gregory- The White Queen was one of my favorite historical novels and I was captivated by Elizabeth's story.
9. Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen- I am torn here, because I adore the character of Elizabeth, but I also consider Mr. Darcy my literary boyfriend. This poses a problem. :)
10. Sookie Stackhouse from the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris- I love Sookie! She's spunky, loyal and extremely entertaining. How could I not include her?
So what do you guys think? What literary character would you want to be related to? Let me know what you think!
I like quite a few of the characters on your list. Rose is a particular favorite but I have to admit that I'd be intimidated to have her for a relative (or Katniss for that matter)! Jo March would be a fun relative to have though. I loved how she and her sisters would put on plays together.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I, later joined by our younger cousin Andrea used to write stories when were were kids, act them out, and record them on cassette tape with sound effects. It was kind of similar and a lot of fun. :)
Atticus would be a great addition to any family.
ReplyDeleteI chose families I'd love to be a part of:

Hehe, Rose Hathaway would be amazing. I picked her as well :) I'm so obsessed with the VA series, it's unhealthy. It's good (I think ;)) to see that you are too!

ReplyDeleteI would absolutely want Anna, Clara, and Katniss as family members. I love all three off those women and got super attached to their stories. These are such fun lists!
