Waving hi! (This is from the first trimester) |
I am going to take a few weeks off to sort out a few things in my personal life (my to-do list is massive!) and to get started on my reading for work without feeling guilty about neglecting my blog. I'll be sure to share any good books that I come across.
Once I'm back to my normal blogging schedule, I will be getting you guys ready for my second annual Summer Kickoff feature, a fun giveaway for my birthday, and of course posting some YA reviews. Thanks for sticking around, being patient with me, and visiting my blog. I really appreciate it.
Although I won't be blogging for a few weeks, I am still going to be on Twitter, Pinterest and Goodreads. So, say hi! And the next time you see me, I will be able to share if Baby Book Addict is a boy or a girl.
Talk to you soon,
Congrats! Be sure to post the baby pictures when the cutie's out! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Megan! Will do!
DeleteOMG! Christina!!! Congratulations!! I admit, I was a little worried about you when you said you were feeling ill, but I'm so glad to hear that it wasn't something serious, but instead REALLY EXCITING NEWS!!! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Leanna! :)
DeleteCONGRATULATIONS!!! :oD
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the series of BabyLit board books? They've got Pride & Prejudice, Romeo & Juliet, Jane Eyre & Alice in Wonderland so far -- little Baby Book Addict may need them ;o)
Huge congrats and hugs and don't worry about us - just make sure you show us pictures as they come! :o)
Oh sweetie! How exciting! *hug* Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWhen are you due?
OMG I so feel you on the first trimester. I was nauseated all day and all night for 2 months straight. "Morning Sickness" my hiney!
I'm reading Jo Frost's Confident Baby Care (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1354491.Jo_Frost_s_Confident_Baby_Care) and it's SO good. It covers the first year. Even though I'm only up to 0-3 months in my reading. I was just telling my husband how good it is and how I wish I had read the chapter I just read before the baby. Allot of what she talks about we figured out on our own. She just taught me an awesome burping tip. (I'm like the world's worst burper)
I didn't love What to Expect and Belly Laughs was funny but not fantastic.
Best of luck!
Juju- I will definitely check out that book. It sounds promising. I did pick up a copy of Belly Laughs for fun. I started it and am already laughing out loud. What to Expect makes me nervous- so I try to avoid it. :) Thanks for the suggestions and kind thoughts!
DeleteCongratulations! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful mom. :)
ReplyDeleteThe first thing I thought of when you said "survival" as the English curriculum theme is "The Hunger Games", if you haven't already read it. :)
Stella- Thank you! :) I would love to include HG, but the kids have all read it. I will have to think of some others! Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteCongratulations! Such an exciting time!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteCongrats!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteCongratulations!! Take care of yourself & your wee baby. We'll be here when you can blog again.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the sequel to Meg Cabot's Abandon comes out on May 8. It's titled Underworld and the cover is stunning!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH YAY!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTINA!!!! Glad you made it through your first trimester and things are a little easier now:) Wishing you, your husband, and your little one all the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny! :)
DeleteCongratulations! That is wonderful news :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the curriculum rewrite. That sounds like quite a project. When I hear survival, I automatically think of The Hunger Games and other dystopian fiction :)
Thanks, Christina! I am thinking of including Life as We Knew it series- I think that it is often overlooked by a lot of my 7th graders. Thanks for the suggestions!
DeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That's really exciting! I'd have to say What to Expect When Expecting is great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Christina!!!! Welcome to the best years of your life!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite book to prepare you for parenthood is "Little Lamb, Who Made Thee?" by Walter Wangerin. It's not practical advice so much as it will inspire you not just in your parenting but in your teaching too!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful news with us!
Congratulations! It's such great news! Wishing you, Mike and your family all the best! Baby Beach Bum will be a great addition!
