If you are like me, you are dying to see Focus Features' Anna Karenina at the movies, but first, like any good book nerd, you are going to want to read the classic novel first.....if you haven't already. Confession: I have actually never read it, but am hoping to before I see the movie. Have you read it? Let me know what you think.
"Anna Karenina is acclaimed director Joe Wright’s bold, theatrical new vision of the epic story of love, stirringly adapted from Leo Tolstoy’s great novel by Academy Award winner Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love). The film marks the third collaboration of the director with Academy Award-nominated actress Keira Knightley and Academy Award-nominated producers Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Paul Webster, following their award-winning box office successes Pride & Prejudice and Atonement."Thanks to Focus Features, I have an exciting giveaway to share with you guys!

I have been hearing a lot about the movie, but yet to look into it. Now that I know it has a book...I have to read it before I see it. I don't want it to be ruined for me like every other book I saw on screen first.
ReplyDeleteThat's my plan too! Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteKelly @A Library is Infinity Under a Roof
I think I should read the book (even if it's extremely long) before watching the movie. I want a really good sense of what's going on during a movie before I watch it, which is probably why I wait a few weeks after the premiere to watch a movie.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it but I definitely want to because the movie looks amazing. :]
ReplyDeleteOh my! I haven't read this too but it's going to be in my list for my next year's reading challenge. I cannot wait for the movie though. Awesome giveaway ^^ huzzah!!!

ReplyDeleteI haven't read it, but I remember a scene from the movie Music from Another Room where the book was being read aloud to one of the characters. Seeing that scene made me want to read the book. And still . . . I haven't yet.

ReplyDeleteI read Anna Karenina in high school but I don't remember it very well. I should reread it now as an adult. I'd probably appreciate it more. I am planning to watch the movie when it is released on DVD. I doubt it will play at a theater near me.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it. But I really want to see the movie, for the costumes alone if nothing else!!
