February is my least favorite month. Ugh. Thank God it's short and we are onto March. I hope March brings some warm weather! I am definitely counting down till spring. And you know what that means! I am already planning my Summer Kickoff Feature....can't wait!

February Top Five:
1. Favorite Book: I'd say it's a tie between Everneath by Brodi Ashton and Hallowed by Cynthia Hand. I am LOVING both series!
2. Biggest Disappointment: I thought I was going to like Under the Never Sky a bit more than I did, especially when I read many of the outstanding reviews for it.
3. Biggest Surprise: A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly really took me by surprise. I knew that I loved Donnelly's writing and that it's a Printz Honor book; however, it was even better than I thought it would be. I need to make more time to read less commercial books and more literary reads, because I truly enjoyed A Northern Light.
4. Favorite Post: In which I fangirl over The Lizzie Bennet Diaries - I'm totally addicted!
5. Favorite Part of February: My little guy's first Valentine's Day!
I knew you would love the Everneath and Unearthly series - they are two of my faves! I agree February is such a blah month. March is so much better - although its still freezing here!!
ReplyDeleteYes! You are right--after I read your review of the Everneath series, I knew I would like it too. Thanks for the recommendation! I can't wait to read the final book in the Unearthly series. I am starting it today! I hear you. The weather has been so cold here too. I am ready for spring! Thanks for visiting, Leanna!
DeleteI'm so excited to read Everbound! I really liked the first book. It looks like you had a great reading month!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like Everbound- it had me on the edge of my seat. Thanks for visiting, Amber!

DeleteSO GLAD YOU LOVED EVERNEATH AND EVERBOUND!!! I absolutely adore that series. I'm sorry you didn't love Under the Never Sky as much as you'd hoped, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it overall. I need to read Through the Ever Night Still, I've heard it's a stunning sequel:)
ReplyDeleteOh, really? I will have to check out Through the Ever Night. I am definitely interested to see what will happen. Thanks for dropping by, Jenny!
