July Top Five:
2. Biggest Surprise: Earthbound by Aprilynne Pike- I recently read Life After Theft by the same author and although it was a fun book, it wasn't my favorite. So I was nervous to read this one; however, I was pleasantly surprised!
3. Biggest Disappointment: I felt Five Summers was cute, but it didn't "wow" me like I was hoping.
4. Favorite Post: My review of The White Princess by Philippa Gregory - I LOVE this series.
5. Favorte Part of July: My little guy's 1st birthday. :) I still can't believe he is one.
I hope everyone had a great July,
ooh Imposter has an X-Men feel? I am definitely interested in it then!
ReplyDeleteAnd happy belated to your little guy!
Thanks, Christa! :)
DeleteI feel ya. I've been so busy too. I need some reading time. But I'm loving summer.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I am SO much more busy in the summer--you just have to enjoy it! :) Thanks for visiting, Juju.
DeleteI'm always a little sad when August arrives because the summer is winding down!
ReplyDeleteI had an incredibly busy July and August is going to be busy too. Maybe I'll be able to catch up in September...
I will have to check out Earthbound. I haven't read anything by her yet though I think I will not be reading Life After Theft. I happen to love The Scarlet Pimpernel and from what I've read about Life After Theft, it doesn't really follow that story at all.
Me too!! That is what I am hoping, but it looks like my September may be just as crazy. Thanks for dropping by, Christina!
DeleteWow! Baby D is one already! How time flies! I was also very impressed with Impostor - it was a really good reading surprise! Have a great weekend, Christina! :)
ReplyDeleteI know! It's nuts! I remember you liked it too- we definitely have the same taste in books! :) Thanks for visiting, Leanna!
DeleteLooks like July was a mostly-great reading month!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday once again to your son! Hope you guys had fun celebrating :)
Thank you!!!! :)
