2. Ernest Hemingway- He is one of my favorite classic authors and I own all of his books, including a few biographies.
3. Sarah Dessen - I adore Sarah Dessen -- the author of some of my favorite summertime reads!
4. William Shakespeare - Thanks to being an English major, I own most of his plays as well as many of his books of poetry.
5. Cassandra Clare - I have most of The Mortal Instruments series and all of The Infernal Devices novels…plus a few books are signed!
7. Jane Austen - Who doesn't love Jane Austen and her unrivaled Mr. Darcy? I have hardbacks of her books on my "favorites" bookshelf.
8. Jenny Han - Her Summer series is my absolute favorite and I loved her latest, To All the Boys I've Loved Before.
9. Adriana Trigiani - There was one summer (before blogging) where I really got into her books, such as Lucia, Lucia, and I recently loved her Valentine series as well as The Shoemaker's Wife.
10. Emily Giffin - I really liked her Darcy and Rachel series and have read a few of her other books - some of which are signed! I still need to read her most recent book though!
So which authors have the most books on your bookshelf? Let me know what you think of my list! This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, so check it out!
I own all of Sarah Dessen's books as well! And Shakespeare too. I have this giant book that has all of Shakespeare's plays. I've only read a couple though.
ReplyDeleteI also own all of Richelle Mead's YA books! She's awesome! :)
I adore Sarah Dessen and Richelle Mead…although I need to get caught up on the Bloodlines series. Thanks for visiting, Nick!
DeleteThis is a cool idea! I think I have the most books by Kelley Armstrong, even though I've only read one of them. I keep buying them at signings! Although if you include each book of my Shakspeare and Oscar Wilde anthologies, those would win for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have read one of Kelley Amstrong's books as well….great author! Thanks for visiting, Megan!
DeleteI need to read all the Vampire Academy books! I saw the movie and thought it wasn't that great, but I've heard that the books are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
The books are WAY better than the movie. Highly recommended. Thanks for dropping by, Christianna!
DeleteI have the most books by Neal Shusterman, and I'm growing into Sarah Dessen. A friend of mine twisted my arm into reading a few of her books last year. I enjoyed them. Thanks for sharing. Here's mine: http://thebooksupplier.com/?p=5822
ReplyDeleteSarah Dessen is the best. I hope you enjoy her! Thanks for visiting, Eli!
DeleteGreat list!! Cassandra Clare made my list as well. I just started reading the Vampire Academy series a few months ago and love it. I'm sure she would make my list if this topic surfaced again next year. I've also enjoyed all of the Dessen and Giffin books that I've read so far, but I got them from the library...so they didn't make my list.
ReplyDeleteHere is my TTT: http://www.jacquesbooknook.blogspot.com/2014/07/top-ten-tuesday-authors-i-own-most.html
Vampire Academy is the best…I would love to re-read that series. THanks for visiting, Jacque!
DeleteI don't know why I stopped buying Sarah Dessen's books. I remember reading three and loved all of them. I really should get back on that train. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI have read most of her books…she's awesome! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI am not surprised to find Philippa Gregory on your list (or Jenny Han)! I think Richelle Mead would be on mine but I still don't own all of the Vampire Academy novels though I do own all of the Bloodlines series so far. I also don't own all of Jane Austen's novels. I must remedy that!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know, right?! You should definitely get your hands on some Jane Austen hardbacks. :) Thanks for visiting, Christina!
DeleteTotally agree! :) Thanks for visiting!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on Sarah Dessen, Shakespeare, and Richelle Mead - I have so many of their works, they each practically have their own shelves!
ReplyDeleteAwesome top ten :)
Me too! I knew you would have a lot of Shakespeare. :) Thanks for visiting, Lea!
