Sunday Post and Giveaway Winners (25)

Book Review: Commonwealth by Ann Patchett
Waiting on Wednesday: The Summer House by Hannah McKinnon
Top Ten Tuesday: Authors I've Met
Book Review: Unearthly Things by Michelle Gagnon

I'll be sharing my thoughts on The Freemason's Daughter, which is a historical YA that takes place in Scotland. The synopsis mentioned that it's like the Outlander series except for YA, but I didn't see many similarities other than the setting. Speaking of Outlander, I will also have an Outlander top ten post coming up this week, which is a lot of fun!

How to Make a Wish by Ashley Herring Blake - Thanks to HMH Books
Garden of Thorns by Amber Mitchell - Thanks to Becky at Stories and Sweeties
The Summer House by Hannah McKinnon - Thanks to Atria and NetGalley

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

The winner of the Spring Cleaning Giveaway goes to....

Vivien

Congrats! I hope you enjoy both books!

Have you read any of these books? Are they on your TBR list? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for visiting. This meme is hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

  1. I look forward to your Outlander post. I've been thinking about picking that series up again. Maybe this fall.

The Freemason's Daughter was one I was interested in but it sounds disappointing which is too bad. I do want to read the Hannah McKinnon book and hope you enjoy it. I thought Mystic Summer was pretty good. Bring on the beach reads :)

I still haven't read Thirteen Reasons Why. I saw that the show is on Netflix now but I want to read the book first. My library's copy is checked out so it will be a little while before I can get to it. Hope it lives up to the hype. Did you watch the show?

    Have a great week!

    1. It's such a hard series to commit to since the books take FOREVER to read. I read about one a year. Yeah, the Freemason's Daughter was just an ok read for me. There are so many "Outlander" YA books coming out that are just a disappointment. I am looking forward to Hannah McKinnon's next read through....seems perfect for summer!
Yes! I haven't read it either, but have been meaning to. I want to read it before I watch the show! I have heard great things. Thanks for visiting, Christina!

  3. Is this your first time reading 13 reasons? Ah, I loved it so much. I didn't reread it before the show--I read it a really long time ago and I like the details to remain a little fuzzy when I'm going into a screen adaptation, that way I'm not too upset by things that get changed lol. I hope you enjoy Garden of Thorns! :D

    1. Yes, it is! I somehow have never read it and want to read it before I watch the show on Netflix. Thanks again for Garden of Thorns. I am thrilled to have won. Thanks for visiting, Becky.

  4. I'm currently reading 13 Reasons--a book I've owned for literally years, but had yet to pick up. I'm definitely enjoying it and can't wait to watch the series when I'm done. Hope you have a great week!

  5. I agree with you on Big Little Lies from your Friday post. I think they're doing a great job with it too. And tonight's the finale- can't wait! Although I'm going to miss the show. :) 13 Reasons Why I'm curious about because I saw it appear on Netflix, and had no idea they were making a show out of it. I should read the boo maybe and then watch it.

    Have a great week!
