Plus, I don't know about you, but when I am sick, I like Netflix. I started and finished the show Mindhunter and absolutely LOVED it! I also finally started Stranger Things (season one). Am I the last person in the world to watch it? Even though scary stories aren't my thing, I am still really hooked.
I hope December is not only a healthier month for my family, but I hope I am able to read more! I miss it! What have you guys been up to?
1. The One That Got Away by Melissa Pimentel - 3.5 out of 5 stars -Adult Fiction
2. No Good Deed by Kara Connolly - 3.5 out of 5 stars - YA Fantasy
3. The Bourbon Kings by J.R. Ward - 4 out of 5 stars - Adult Fiction - Review to come!
Early Reader/Chapter Books:
1. Revolutionary War on Wednesday by Mary Pope Osborne
2. Twister on Tuesday by Mary Pope Osborne
3. Earthquake in the Early Morning by Mary Pope Osborne
I'm not going to do a November Top Five, because I didn't read my usual amount and that wouldn't really be fair. However, you can clearly see that The Bourbon Kings was my favorite read of the month! Such a fun book!
What I'm Loving This Month:
* doTerra's Serenity
* Honest Company's Organic All-Purpose Balm
* Peppermint ice cream
*Yankee Candle's Mulling Spices
I can't believe it's December! I am so excited for the holiday season! Let me know if you are planning on reading any holiday books. I hope to tackle Christmas in London this month; hopefully it will put me in a festive mood.
Happy Friday,
Hope you all have a healthier December! I read a few holiday books this year, which was new for me. Hope you enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angela! I hope you enjoy those books! I look forward to your reviews. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI find it hard to concentrate on reading when I'm not feeling well too. Netflix is so much easier! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with no illnesses in your family. I've been sick on and off this whole fall. I have a lot to catch up on :)
ReplyDeleteI did read The One That Got Away. I sort of liked it but was also disappointed that it wasn't exactly a retelling of Persuasion. I usually have issues with Jane Austen retellings (with few exceptions like Longbourn) so maybe I should just stay away from them!
I've read two holiday books so far. One was A Christmas Carol which we read in one of my book groups. I have some more Christmas books checked out from the library. We'll see if I get to read them. I have watched some Christmas Hallmark movies on DVD and my plans for the weekend involve watching some Christmas movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime. 'Tis the Season!
Yes! This fall has been brutal. I will have to check out Longhorn....been wanting to read that for awhile! I loved ACC....one of my favorite books of all time! Christmas movies are the best....enjoy! Thanks for visiting, Christina!
DeleteI know how ya feel! I was feeling not so well aswell and I still have a terrible cough. Pfff.
ReplyDeleteLove Netflix too! I haven't started watching season 2 of Stranger Things, but I adored season 1. So good! Currently I'm watching The Handmaid's Tale, still need to watch episode 8 to 10. Will watch it tonight! :)
I hope you have a great week!
I hope you are feeling better, Nina! I am excited to get caught up with Stranger Things...so addicting! The Handmaid's Tale is really good! I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteIt's rough when the gets are sick! I hope you have a sickness-free December!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Chrissy!
DeleteI haven't even started season one of Stranger Things yet, so you are not alone. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI hope December is bright shiny and healthy for you and your family. I only put one book on my Goodreads Challenge this year to only use it as a counter. I was getting down on myself for not reading as much last year because of work responsibilities and illnesses and have felt way less pressured this year. Real life comes first and there is nothing we can do about it.👍
Here's to a fabulous December. :)
Thanks so much! You are so right!
