February Confessions

Welp, this month was all about historical fiction. I have been gravitating to a lot of historical reads lately. There have been so many good ones coming out.

Books Read in February:
1.  The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff (Adult Historical Fiction) - 3.5 out of 5 stars
2.  Forget You Know Me by Jessica Strawser (Adult Fiction) - 3 out of 5 stars
3.  That Churchill Woman by Stephanie Barron (Adult Historical Fiction) - 3.5 out of 5 stars (Review to come)
4.  Fablehaven by Brandon Mull (MG Fantasy) 4 out of 5 stars - (Review to come)
5.  Castle on the Rise by Kristy Cambron (Adult Historical Fiction) 3.5 out of 5 stars - (Review to come)
6.  My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante (Audio Book/Adult Historical Fiction) 4 out of 5 stars - (Review to come)

1.  Favorite Book: My Brilliant Friend was such an interesting audio book. It's not that a lot even happens in the story, but what is captivating is how the everyday life of Lila and Elena is portrayed. Ferrante brings to life Naples in the 1950s and I found it to be a fascinating coming of age tale.

2.  Most Dissapointing Book:  Forget You Know Me was a bit disappointing to me as I thought it was going to include much more suspense than it actually did.

3.  Most Surprising Book:  That Churchill Woman brought me a lot of insight into the famous Churchill family. I loved learning more about Winston Churchill's mother.

4.  Favorite Post from February: My 9th Blogoversary and Giveaway

5.  Favorite Part of February:  We finally got a small snow storm this month and it was a blast bringing my boys out in the snow.  I am a summer girl through and through, but a good snow fall is necessary each winter....at least in Pennsylvania!

What were some of your favorite reads this month? Which books disappointed you?  Let me know in the comments below.
