I sort of can't believe it's already October! I have some holiday books that I need to read, but I just can't seem to open them before Halloween. So, meanwhile, I have been reading more atmospheric novels, some cozy ones, and some witchy books, too. Here's the novels I plan to read this month:
1. The Belle of Belgrave Square by Mimi Matthews
I am part of this blog tour, so I am looking forward to book two in the Belles of London series.
2. The Empress by Gigi Griffis
Who is watching the show on Netflix? I am loving it! I am a big fan Sisi of Austria and have already read a few books about her, so this is right up my alley.
3. Eyes Turned Skyward by Alena Dillon
I love a good WWII novel, especially in the fall!
4. Spells for Lost Things by Jenna Evans Welch
I am looking foward to this YA novel that takes place in Salem, Mass.
5. Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese
This one seems perfect for the month of October. I believe it was a BOTM pick. Did you select this one?
6. Jacqueline in Paris by Ann Mah
I love all things Jackie O and the Kenendys, so I am really looking forward to this novel. It was a BOTM selection, too. If you are a member, did you pick it?
7. Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney
I feel like this moody novel is perfect for October.
8. Before I Do by Sophie Cousens
I've been meaning to read Cousens's novels, and this romance sounds great. Have you read her other novels?
So, if I had unlimited time, these are the novels I'd read. I must admit, I am struggling to find the time to read this fall so far, so I am hoping that I can carve out more time soon. What books do you hope to read this fall?
Cousen's novels are really cute, and I have this one preordered. I see some others up there I'm sort of interested in, so I'll be looking forward to your reviews!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read her novels---I'm glad to hear you like them! Thanks for dropping by, Angela.
DeleteI just finished Daisy Darker and really enjoyed it! Happy fall reading!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to dive in. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! Thanks for visiting, Michele!
DeleteDaisy Darker and Spells for Lost Things both sound so good. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree! Thanks for visiting, Lauren!
DeleteThe only books I know I will actually read each month are the book club selections. I do make quarterly lists and then try to stick to that list, though I usually don't add many books to my list and end up reading lots not on the list.
ReplyDeleteI hear you. It's hard to stick to a list - sometimes I am most definitely a mood reader, which is why I have already deviated from the list and picked up Palace Papers. Oh well! Thanks for visiting, Anne!
