10 Books To Read This April

It's officially spring, which means that warmer weather is on its way! With beach read season around the corner, I've already started diving into some "summer" books, despite the cold weather here in Pennsylvania. Before we know it, we'll be bringing along a stack of books to the beach, on vacation, or to the pool. So, what books are you planning to read this month?

1.  The Beautiful People by Michelle Gable

Pub. Date: April 16, 2024

I love the setting of Palm Beach in the 60s. This one seems perfect vacation reading.

2.  The Stranger I Wed by Harper St. George

Pub. Date: April 23, 2024

This is book one in St. George's new historical romance series called The Doves of New York.

3.  The Sicilian Inheritance by Jo Piazza

Pub. Date: April 2, 2024

This one is all about a trip to Sicily, disputed inheritance and  family secrets.

4.  Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

Pub. Date: April 2, 2024

I read this one last week and it doesn't disappoint, but be forewarned that it isn't that much of a summer novel despite the cover.

5.  The Sweet Blue Distance by Sara Donati

Pub. Date: April 2, 2024

Donati's Wilderness series was a hit and had some major Outlander vibes, so I am looking forward to her latest historical novel that takes place in New Mexico during the 1800s and involves a midwife.

6.  Welcome Home, Caroline Kline by Courtney Preiss

Pub. Date: April 16, 2024

I heard this novel is perfect for fans of Annabel Monaghan. It follows Caroline who returns home to her Jersey Shore hometown for a second chance.

7.  The Summer We Started Over by Nancy Thayer

Pub. Date: April 23, 2024

It wouldn't be summer without a new Nancy Thayer novel! This one is about two sisters reconnecting on the beautiful island of Nantucket.

8.  Funny Story by Emily Henry

Pub. Date: April 23, 2024

Emily Henry is a must-read author for me.

9.  The House on Biscayne Bay by Chanel Cleeton

Pub. Date: April 9, 2024

Chanel Cleeton is another must-read author for me. I love that this one is set in Miami and has some major Gothic vibes.

10.  One Last Word by Suzanne Park

Pub. Dates: April 16, 2024

This one is about an "aspiring tech entrepreneur who goes on a rollercoaster journey of self-discovery after her app, which sends messages to loved ones after you pass, accidentally sends her final words to all the important people in her life." Could you imagine?!

So, these are the books I have my eye on this month. I can't wait to add more beach reads to the stack. What books do you hope to read this month? Let me know in the comments below.
